DMV Challenges

    Background
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the California Department of Technology (CDT) are looking for innovative organizations to join our journey to transform how the DMV does business. We are looking to become more responsive, efficient and effective as we follow the Governor’s mandate to transform the DMV into a more modern and efficient organization.

This is a unique opportunity to present your solutions for the following challenges to the DMV Director, Steve Gordon, and his technology leadership team:

    1. Manage REAL ID Demand
    2. Optimize Service Delivery
    3. Improve back-office operations
    4. Define a technology roadmap from now to the future

    Present at Pitch Day
We're inviting companies to present their ideas to the DMV team on how to best achieve one or more of these objectives. The "pitch date" has not been set but is tentatively planned for mid November 2019.

    How to Apply
Please complete the online application to be screened for an opportunity to present at Pitch Day.

The application has two sections and typically takes 1-3 hours to complete:

    1. Organization background and qualifications
    2. Describe your innovative solution

The application can be saved and returned to at a later time (click the “Finish this later” link in the header). Applications can be edited after submission until the deadline. No changes will be accepted after the deadline.

What happens after I submit an application?
    1. Application will be screened and graded in early November
    2. The highest scoring applicants will be invited to Pitch Day in mid November 2019
