    The Challenge
    The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is seeking a innovative solution to improve, modernize, and allow greater immersion in the teach-learning process in order to optimize materials, infrastructure, and time resources for our BART mechanics and technicians..

    Please complete the application to be evaluated for an opportunity to enter into a paid contract.

    The application has two sections and typically takes less than an hour:
    1. Describe your organization and product; and
    2. Meeting expectations and commitments.

    The application can be saved and returned to at a later time (click the “Finish this later” link in the header). Applications can be edited after submission until the deadline. No changes will be accepted after the deadline.

    What happens after I submit an application?
    1. Application will be formally evaluated and scored in December as part of phase 1
    2. The highest scoring applicant may be invited in December to phase 2
    3. Phase 2 consists of a demonstration period (typically January - May 2020 but can be shorter or longer based on mutual agreement)
    4. At the end of phase 2, a final evaluation will be conducted
    5. Based on the results of the final evaluation, the government may enter into paid contract (nearly 80% of startups enter into a contract)
