City and County of San Francisco: Playable Cities

    The Challenge
The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department is seeking an interactive and easy-to-use solution to increase play and connection for our city residents.

    How to Apply
    • Please complete the application to be evaluated for an opportunity to enter into a paid contract.
    • The application can be saved and returned to at a later time (click the “Finish this later” link in the header).
    • Applications can be edited after submission until the deadline.
    • No changes will be accepted after the deadline.

What happens after I submit an application?
    1. Applications will be formally evaluated and scored in February 2020. Startups do not need to have existing solutions to apply for this challenge. You can view the evaluation criteria on page 8 of the RFP.
    2. Up to three proposers receiving the highest scores may be invited to participate in oral interviews in February 2020
    3. The highest scoring applicant will be invited to participate in a demonstration period starting in March 2020 (typically 16-weeks but can be shorter or longer based on mutual agreement)
    4. At the end of the demonstration period, the government will conduct a formal evaluation to determine if your solution effectively meets the challenge needs
    5. Based on the results of the final evaluation, the government may enter into paid contract (nearly 80% of startups enter into a contract)
